Astrological Football forecasts for the Premier League will be taking a short break for this weekend’s World Cup Qualifiers (15th-16th November), but will be back with the next Premier League Forecast on 22nd November 2025

Although hosts Manchester City are just one place above Liverpool in the Premier League Table (2^nd to Liverpool’s 3^rd at the time of writing) they have the home advantage and are favourites to win this Sunday. 

As favourites, City are described by Venus (lord of the 1^st house) and Saturn (lord of the 10^th house).   

With the Moon (ruler of the 4^th house) already occupied describing the events of the match, Liverpool have just one significator; Mars, ruler of the 7^th house. 

Mars (lord of the 7^th house), applies to conjunct the antiscion of the Part of Fortune (at 08 Sagittarius 04): In the absence of any equally strong testimonies in favour of rivals City, this aspect would be powerful enough to hand victory to Liverpool. However, Mercury (at 06 Sagittarius 51) turns retrograde and intercedes before the aspect can happen.  This could show Liverpool coming close to winning but being denied victory due to a missed opportunity or twist of fate.  

The only other testimony of note is the application of retrograde Saturn to a sextile with the Part of Fortune. Aspects other than conjunctions or oppositions to the Part of Fortune are not usually reliable enough to guarantee a result on their own, but in an otherwise lacklustre chart may be enough to give City the edge. 

Overall, this contest chart promises a low scoring game, between two equally matched teams.  Manchester City will have a slight edge over their rivals, and a twist of fate may leave Liverpool fans feeling cheated of victory.

The pundits favour Spurs to win and the heavens agree. 

Mercury. Lord of the 1^st house (and main significator of the favourites, Spurs), applies to the cusp of the 7^th house (the house of underdogs, Chelsea).  Although this testimony does not guarantee a win for the favourites, it does show Spurs will dominate the match.  

The Moon’s applying conjunction to the antiscion of the Part of Fortune (at 17 Pisces 45) is a different matter:  This is a strong indication in favour of the favourites. 

In the absence of any testimonies for Chelsea, a convincing win for favourites Spurs is the most likely outcome.

Mars (lord of the 1^st house) describes the favourites, (Manchester United), with Saturn (lord of the 10th house, the house of victory for the favourites) their co-significator.  

With the Moon, (lord of the 4th house, the house of victory for the underdogs) already busy describing the events of the match, Brighton have just one significator:  Venus, lord of the 7th house. 

Manchester United are the favourites to win, and there is very little in this chart to suggest any upset to the expected result. None of the key planetary players; Mars, Venus or Saturn are placed near important house cusps (the 1^st, 7th and 10th).  Nor does the Moon make any immediate aspects to these planets (within the 5-deree orb considered most reliable for 90-minute football matches):  There is every reason to assume the match will play out as the pundits  expect; in Manchester United’s favour. 

The Moon’s next aspect, a square to Saturn, is well beyond this 5-degree orb of reliability, suggesting that Brighton’s best chance to turn the tables on the favourites will occur in the latter stages of the match (especially if extra time is possible).

Due to the UEFA World Cup Qualifiers, Astrological Football forecasts for the Premier League will be taking a short break this weekend but will return for the weekend 18th/19th October 2025.

At the time of writing, Liverpool are the favourites to win against Chelsea, but the result is expected to be close.   

In the contest chart for the match, the Moon immediately applies to conjunct the 1^st house cusp:  This is is a powerful testimony for the favourites. 

In the absence of any favourable testimonies for Chelsea, it seems the heavens and the pundits are in agreement:  A win for Liverpool is the most likely outcome.

Hosts Manchester City are odds-on favorites against Burnley this Saturday:  The pundits expect them to win easily, but do the heavens agree?   

Mars (ruler of the 10^th house; the house of victory for the favourites), is closely conjunct the 10^th house cusp:  This testimony confirms that Manchester City will prove formidable opponents but does not, by itself, guarantee victory.   

The Moon applies to square Venus, ruler of the 4^th house (the house of victory for the underdogs).  This is a stronger testimony in favour of Burnley.   

Although beyond the 5-degree orb considered most effective in 90-minute football matches, the Moon’s sextile to Mercury (ruler of the 7^th house; for Burnley) is also worthy of note.   

The result of this game is by no means a foregone conclusion:  Manchester City will be on excellent form, but Burnley may be more of a match than they anticipate.  Expect goals for both sides, with Burnley’s chances to improve greatly if the match strays into extra time.

Currently placed 2^nd in the Premier League table to Manchester City’s 8^th place, Arsenal are the favourites to win and are represented by Saturn, (lord of the 1^st house) and Mars, (lord of the 10^th house, the house of victory for the favourites).   

In contest charts, the Moon describes the flow of events.  This role takes priority over her rulership of any of the houses.  As the Moon rules the 7^th house in this chart, Mercury, her dispositor, is substituted as main significator for Arsenal’s opponents, Manchester City.  Venus, ruler of the 4^th house (the house of victory for the underdogs) is City’s co-significator.   

The Part of Fortune is closely conjunct the cusp of the 1^st house: This aspect always occurs around the time of the new Moon, so does not have a bearing on the result.   

More significantly, the Moon applies to oppose to Saturn (lord 1).   This is a strong aspect which points to a clear advantage for favourites, Arsenal.   

Mercury, the substitute main significator for underdogs Manchester City, applies to sextile the antiscion of the Part of Fortune (at 10 Sagittarius 50).  This is helpful for City, but a far less reliable testimony than the Moon/Saturn opposition.

The only other applying aspect of note is the Moon’s trine to the Part of Fortune.  At just over 5-degrees distant, this is a slightly wider orb than we would hope to see in a 90-minute football match (aspects with an orb of 5-degrees or under are most reliable) but suggests that the favourites will have an opportunity to consolidate their advantage in the final stages of the game.   

Overall, this chart inclines to a convincing win for Arsenal.
