Astrological Football Forecast for the FIFA Club World Cup: Day 1 Al Ahly FC vs Inter Miami CF

Please note:  All contest charts are cast for BST, hence different dates and times from those locally advertised (This match is locally scheduled to kick off at the Hard Rock Stadium, Miami at 8pm (ET) on 14th June 2025)

This is the tournament’s opening match, and expectations for both teams are running high.  Hosts Inter Miami CF boast a strong side and are hotly tipped to win.

As favourites, Inter Miami are represented by the ruler of the 1st house (Jupiter) and the ruler of the 10th house (the house of victory for the favourites), Venus.

Rivals Al Ahly are signified by Mercury (ruler of the opposing 7th house) and Mars (ruler of the 4th house).

The Moon seems to agree with the pundits:  Her only aspect (over the 5-degree orb considered most effective in 90-minute football matches) is a sextile to Venus, ruler of the 10th house, favouring the favourites.

Jupiter (for Inter Milan) is captured in the 7th house of their rivals, Al Ahly, but is in a different sign from that on the cusp (Gemini), so this has no relevance to the outcome.  For the same reason (being in a different sign to the Gemini house cusp), Jupiter is not afflicted by combustion with the Sun.

However, the antiscion of the Sun (at 05 Cancer 51) still has significant role:  With the Part of Fortune in Leo, the Sun is her dispositor.  Jupiter therefore applies to conjunct the dispositor of the Part of Fortune, which is another boon for the favourites.

Two testimonies favouring the favourites suggest a likely win for Inter Milan.  However, Al Ahly FC are a strong side who have won the CAF Champions League on several occasions:  Even with the stars (and terrestrial stars like Lionel Messi) on their side, Inter Milan would be unwise to underestimate them.

Astrological Football Forecast FA Cup Final Special: Saturday 17th May 2025 Crystal Palace vs Manchester City

Manchester City are odds-on favourites to win this season’s FA Cup Final against Crystal Palace, and the contest chart for the match appears to agree:  There is only one testimony of sufficient note in this chart, the placement of Venus (lord of the 1st house, main significator of the favourites) directly on the cusp of the 7th house (the house of opponents Crystal Palace).

Were Venus to be placed inside the 7th house, this would show favourites Manchester City languishing in the power of their rivals, Palace.  However, Venus sitting on the cusp of the 7th house shows City dominating the game, a sign that they will be the likely victors.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 4:30pm (BST), by which time the Moon* will have just separated from an opposition with the antiscion of the Part of Fortune (at 21 Cancer 52).  This opposition aspect would have favoured the underdogs (Crystal Palace) but by the time the game begins the aspect will already be in the past, a sign that Palace have done well to get to the final, but have probably achieved as much as they can, at least for this season.

There is only one lunar aspect of note, an applying sextile to Saturn, ruler of the 4th house. As the 4th house is the house of victory for the underdogs, this testimony would favour Crystal Palace.  However, the aspect is just outside the 5–6-degree limit considered most reliable for 90-minute football matches, suggesting that Palace might rally in the latter stages of the game, but unless the amount of extra time available is considerable, their efforts are likely to be ‘too little, too late’.

*Please note: The Moon is also ruler of the 10th house (the house of victory for the favourites, Manchester City) but her role describing the events of the match takes precedence.

Astrological Football Forecast for the Premier League: 1st May 2025 Nottingham Forest vs Brentford

According to the pundits, Nottingham Forest have the better chance of victory.  As favourites, they are signified by Mars, ruler of the 1st house and the Sun, ruler of the 10th house (the house of victory for the favourites).

Their rivals, Brentford, are represented by Venus (ruler of the opposing 7th house) and Saturn, lord of the 4th house (the house of victory for the underdogs).

The Sun is placed in the 7th house, which might be expected to show Nottingham Forest’s hopes of victory in the power of their rivals. However, in contest charts, a team’s significator must be placed within 1-2 degrees to be considered worthy of note, so this testimony does not count.

The conjunction of the benefic North Node and Saturn (lord of the 4th house, the house of victory for the underdogs) might have added an extra boost to the fortunes of Brentford, but this aspect is separating, so does not signify.

The Moon, whose applying aspects often describe the key events of the match, makes only one aspect of significance, a sextile to the Sun.  This is favourable for the favourites.  The Moon must travel just beyond the 5-degree orb considered most reliable in a 90-minute football match, suggesting that an advantage or opportunity is likely to occur in the latter stages of the game, or possibly even in extra time, which Nottingham Forest may be able to turn to their advantage.

The only other testimony of significance is the applying opposition to the Part of Fortune from her dispositor, Jupiter.  This testimony benefits Brentford, but the aspect is also just beyond the 5-degree orb, so may not be entirely reliable. It nevertheless merits consideration.

So, we have two strong testimonies in this chart; one from the Moon favouring Nottingham Forest, and the other involving the Part of Fortune which favours Brentford.  It seems likely that Brentford will play well, but that Nottingham Forest should be alert to an opportunity which presents itself during the latter stages of the game, which could give them the final advantage.

Astrological Football Forecast for the Premier League: 19th April 2025 Aston Villa vs Newcastle United

The first house and its ruler, Venus, represent the favourites.  Usually, they would also have the ruler of the 10th house, (the house of victory for the favourites), as their co-significator. Here, the 10th house is ruled by the Moon, who already has a key role describing the main events of the match. For this reason, the favourites only have one significator, Venus.

Their rivals are signified by Mars, ruler of the opposing 7th house.  They also have Saturn (ruler of the 4th house, the house of victory for the underdogs) as their co-significator.

There are two important testimonies in this contest chart, both of which indicate the underdogs will have the better game.

Saturn applies to a close conjunction with the North Node.  This aspect greatly boosts to the fortunes of the underdogs.

The Moon’s immediate opposition to the antiscion of the Part of Fortune (at 13 Cancer 44) is the only other aspect of note in this chart.  Once again, this favours the underdogs.

At the time of writing, the pundits consider Aston Villa (who have the home advantage, and a strong record of home wins) to be the favourites.

However, it is worthy of note that Newcastle are currently placed at 3rd in the table above the favourites Villa in 7th place.   The Magpies’ impressive performance in away games this season must also be taken into account.

Overall, this promises to be a finely balanced game of well-matched sides.

Some pundits have suggested the possibility of a draw.

However, the contest chart for this match inclines more to a victory for the underdogs, very likely by a close margin.

Astrological Football Forecast for the Premier League: Monday 14th April 2025 Bournemouth vs Fulham

At the time of writing, Bournemouth are favourites to win, but Fulham’s recent form promises a close match.

The contest chart for the match agrees, as there are testimonies which favour both teams.

The Sun, ruler of the 10th house (representing victory for the favourites), sits directly on the cusp of the 7th house (the house of their opponents):  The favourites have potential to control the game and quash the hopes of their rivals.

The Moon (whose aspects often show how the match will unfold) first applies to square the antiscion of the Part of Fortune (at 14 Leo 57).  Immediately afterwards, she moves to directly oppose the Part of Fortune, at 15 Taurus 03:  Both these aspects are powerful testimonies for the underdogs.

The odds for both teams are close, but at the time of writing, Bournemouth have slightly better odds to win.  If the pundits are correct and they are truly the favourites, their best strategy is to take early control of the game (the Sun conjunct the 7th house cusp) and try to prevent Fulham from gaining any advantage.

However, aspects from the Moon to the Part of Fortune suggest that Fulham will have the chance to score at least one goal.  If Fulham make good on this opportunity, that first goal could become a stepping stone to victory.

Either way, this promises to be a close match, and we can expect to see some highly competitive football from both teams.

Astrological Football Forecast for the Premier League: 5th April 2025 Everton vs Arsenal

At the time of writing, Arsenal are in 2nd place in the Premier League, while Everton are in 15th place:  Despite Everton’s home advantage, it seems likely that Arsenal are the favourites to win this Saturday’s fixture at Goodison Park.

Arsenal are represented by the Sun (ruler of the 1st house) and Mars (ruler of the 10th house, the house of victory for the favourites).

Hosts and rivals Everton are signified by Saturn (ruler of the opposing 7th house) and Venus (ruler of the 4th house, the house of victory for the underdogs).

In contest charts, the Moon’s aspects often highlight to key events of the match.  She first applies to a trine with Saturn, ruler of the 7th house.  This is a positive testimony for Everton.

The Moon next applies to conjunct Mars (ruler of the 1st house) an even more powerful testimony for favourites, Arsenal.

In his book “Sports Astrology”, John Frawley observes that bodily conjunctions from the Moon are usually final, so this lunar conjunction with Mars should be sufficient to award victory to Arsenal. However, it is interesting to note that the Moon makes one final aspect over the 5-degree orb considered most reliable when forecasting 90-minute football matches; a trine to Venus (ruler of the 4th house); an otherwise promising testimony for Everton.

At the very least, this suggests a much closer result than many pundits are expecting.

Arsenal remain the likely winners but must remain vigilant throughout the entire game: The lunar aspect to Venus points to key opportunities for Everton in the second half of the match, which will allow them to remain a danger to Arsenal up until the final whistle.

FA Cup Quarter Final Special: Saturday 29th March 2025 Brighton and Hove Albion vs Nottingham Forest

According to the pundits, Brighton are odds-on favourites this afternoon’s FA Cup Quarter Final at Amex Stadium.  Brighton have the support of the home crowd, and have played well in recent matches, winning 6 of their last 7 games.

Forest, who are placed 3rd in the table to Brighton’s 7th, have drawn their last 10 matches, suggesting their form is not as strong as earlier in the season, when they beat Brighton 7-0.  Furthermore, the absence of key striker Chris Wood, due to a hip injury, is a setback which may take a toll on their attacking strategy.

So, although their 3rd place in the League Table suggests Forest are the stronger team, this assessment may be based on past glories. The results of recent matches point to Brighton as the stronger team going into today’s match.

The favourites are signified by Mercury, ruler of the 1st and 10th houses.  Mercury is currently retrograde.  In contest charts, this does not usually affect the result.  Nor does Mercury’s imminent arrival in Pisces, the sign of his detriment, or the house placement of the South and North Nodes, despite their proximity to the 1st and 7th house cusps.

More significantly, Mercury (although separating from combustion) is still close enough to the Sun to feel the detrimental effects. This is challenging for the favourites.

Mercury (Lord 1) opposes the Part of Fortune.  This would point to a win for the underdogs, but the aspect is already separating and refers to past glories, not future results.

Venus is the dispositor of the Part of Fortune.  At 01 Libra 20, the antiscion of Venus is conjunct the Part of Fortune, which would usually be positive for the favourites.  However, Venus is retrograde, so this aspect is separating, and therefore has no bearing on the result.

So far, we have a lot of separating aspects, which describe the recent form for both teams, but less which throws light on today’s game.  We must look to the aspects of the Moon, which more often provide the key to the results of contest matches than any other testimonies.

The Moon applies to sextile Jupiter, her only aspect over 5 degrees.  This favours victory for the underdogs.

The bigger question revolves around which team are the favourites and which are the underdogs.

Nottingham are placed higher in the table than Brighton, which is a strong argument for them being the better team and the favourites, unless recent form is considered. This would be good news for underdogs Brighton.

However, if the pundits are correct, and Brighton are the favourites, Nottingham Forest are the underdogs and are likely to show an improvement in form and have a chance to repeat their victory over Brighton earlier in the season.

Either way, this match promises to be closely fought, with strong performances from both sides.

Astrological Football Forecast for League Two: 22nd March 2025 Notts County vs Crewe Alexandria

Currently placed 5th in the table to Crewe’s 8th, Notts County are odds-on favourites for a home win this Saturday. But do the heavens agree?

The Sun (ruler of the 1st house) represents the favourites, Notts County. They also have Mars (ruler of the 10th house, the house of victory for the favourites) as their co-significator.

Rivals Crewe Alexandria are signified solely by Saturn (ruler of the opposing 7th house), as Venus (ruler of the 4th house) is already spoken for as dispositor of the Part of Fortune.

Saturn applies to conjunct the North Node: Were Saturn closer to the North Node (within 1-2 degrees), this would be a powerful boost for Crewe, but here the orb of aspect is too wide.

The Moon’s applying aspects describe how the game will unfold.  She first squares Venus, ruler of the 4th house: This would also be a powerful testimony for underdogs Crewe, were not Venus also the dispositor of the Part of Fortune. As such, this lunar aspect has no relevance to the outcome.

The Moon’s next aspect, a trine to the Part of Fortune, is the last lunar aspect (over the 5-degree orb considered most effective for 90-minute football matches) pointing to a good result for the favourites, Notts County.
