Astrological Football Forecast for the World Cup 2026: 6th July Mexico vs England

England are considered the favourites, but by a very thin margin.  Either way, the match is expected to be close.  

There has been talk of bad weather, so provided  the game kicks off on time, England have Jupiter (lord 1) and Venus (lord 10) as their significators.  

Mercury (lord 7) and Mars (lord 4), represent Mexico. 

The antiscion of Mars (lord of the 4th house, Mexico’s house of victory, at 24 Cancer 54) conjunct Mercury at 24 Cancer 48 might have been significant, but Mercury is retrograde, so the aspect is already separating.  

The Moon first applies to trine Mercury (lord 7) and then, almost immediately, trines the antiscion of Mars (lord 4, at 24 Cancer 54) both for Mexico. 

The antiscion of the Moon, at 08 Libra 10, is placed just inside the 10th house.  At 3 degrees from the cusp, the Moon is just outside the ideal 2-degree orb of aspect, but is surely close enough to consider. This is a testimony for the favourites.  

Neptune placed close to the cusp of the 4th house, Mexico’s house of victory, sounds a note of caution.  John Frawley notes that Neptune’s influence is inconsistent, but can be disruptive.  

Uranus is placed close to Mars (lord 4, for Mexico). The aspect is separating, but the disruptive influence Uranus is powerful, and not to be underestimated.

We have two clear testimonies for Mexico, and (counting Neptune) two slightly less reliable testimonies for England. The Uranus/Mars separating conjunction may also be taken into consideration. The heavens confirm that the match will be close.  

The biggest puzzle is to determine which team are the true favourites.  But either way, extra time and even a penalty shootout are strong possibilities.

Astrological Football Forecast for the World Cup 2026: 5th July Brazil vs Norway

Brazil are odds on favourites, and are represented by Mars, (lord 1) and the Sun (lord 10).  

Rivals Norway have Venus (lord 7) and Saturn (lord 4) as their significators. 

Venus, for Norway, applies to conjunct the 10th house cusp.  This shows Brazil’s 10th house (their house of victory) under siege by Norway.  At less than 2-degrees from the cusp, Venus is close enough to award Norway the match, unless contradicted by stronger testimonies.

One such testimony exists: The Moon applies to trine the Part of Fortune; a strong testimony for the favourites, Brazil.  

This is a contest chart where the testimonies are equally balanced, one for each side.  

In a run-of-the-mill match, this would likely result in a draw.   However, at this knockout stage of the World Cup, a draw is not possible.  Instead, expect a closely fought contest which will go down to the wire.

At the time of writing, France are favourites.  They have Mars (lord 1) and Mercury (lord 10) as their significators. 

Rivals Paraguay are represented by Venus (lord 7), and Jupiter (lord 4).  

The Moon applies to conjunct the 4th house cusp.  The orb is wide; 2-degrees or under is ideal, whereas, here, the Moon must travel almost 4-degrees to conjunct the house cusp: This testimony cannot be read as signifying a win for Paraguay, but does show that they will play well, and prove stronger opposition to France than the pundits expect.  

More significant is the Moon’s applying square to the antiscion of the Part of Fortune (at 07 Gemini 45).  This also favours Paraguay.  

France are the favourites, but this chart is all about Paraguay. The result is in their hands, for better or worse.

There is are only one aspect of note in this chart, a square from the Moon to the antiscion of Pluto (at 25 Scorpio 11).  Other than this aspect, the Moon is void of course (she makes no other aspects whilst in her current sign). 

In contest charts, a void of course Moon often indicates a draw, which is not possible in this knockout stage of the tournament.  It can also suggest a lack of surprises: The favourites win as expected.  

Pluto has been observed to have a grudge against the favourites, but a lunar square to the antiscion of Pluto is a minor testimony which is might limit his malice.  

The odds are close, the match will be closer.  

At the time of writing, the pundits favour Egypt for the win, which seems the most likely result, unless Pluto decides to step in as Australia’s 12th player.

Astrological Football Forecast for the World Cup 2026: 2nd July USA vs Bosnia & Herzegovina

Home side USA finished top of their group.  They are the favourites for this match and are represented by Mars, ruler of the 1st house and Mercury, ruler of the 10th house.  

Bosnia and Herzegovina have shown themselves to be a very capable side and may yet cause an upset.  They are signified by Venus (lord of the 7th house) and Jupiter (lord of the 4th house).  

The Moon, who shows the progress of events, first applies to trine Mars (lord 1, for the USA).  

After her next trine, to disruptive Uranus, the Moon next trines the antiscion of Mercury (lord 10) at 03 Gemini 57. This testimony also favours the USA, but to a lesser degree than the lunar trine to Mars.  

Finally (over the 5-degree orb considered most reliable for 90-minute football matches), the Moon conjuncts Pluto.  This sounds a note of caution for the USA, as (noted by John Frawley in his book “Sports Astrology”), Pluto often has a grudge against the favourites. 

The Moon also squares the antiscion of Venus (for Bosnia & Herzegovina) but, at 08 Taurus 41 it is far outside the 5-degree limit of aspect.  It may, however, point to an opportunity in extra time.  

USA have the greater number of testimonies in their favour, but if Pluto lends his assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the favourites may have to fight hard for the win.

Add the disruptive influence of Uranus to the equation, and this match promises a closely fought contest from which we should expect the unexpected, especially if the match strays into extra time.
