Astrological Football Forecasts for the Premier League: Sunday 15th March 2026 Manchester United vs Aston Villa

Chart is cast using UST/GMT

Manchester United are the bookie’s favourites to win this Sunday’s match against Aston Villa. But are the bookmaker’s odds an accurate reflection of their chances, especially as the teams are equally well placed in the table, with 51 points each?

Perhaps the contest chart can throw further light on the situation.

As favourites, Manchester United are represented by the Sun, while Saturn (traditional ruler of Aquarius and ruler of the opposing 7th house) is chief significator for their rivals, Aston Villa.

For their co-significators, these teams are represented by Mars and Venus (rulers of the 10th and 5th houses respectively).

The only truly significant testimony in this chart is the close application of the Moon to conjunct the 7th house cusp. In his book “Sports Astrology”, John Frawley notes that “Moon applying to or close inside the 1st or 10th cusp: victory goes to the favourite. Moon applying to or close inside the 7th or 4th cusp: victory goes to the underdog”. With the Moon on the 7th cusp in our current contest chart, things look highly positive for the underdogs.

So the underdogs will have a much better game than expected. But who are the underdogs? A greater number of football fans have backed Manchester United to win, but is their loyal enthusiasm for their team a reliable guide?

In matches such as these, where the two teams have equal points on the table, we could use another favourite astrological method for assigning the houses: Give the 1st and 10th house to the home team, and the 7th and 4th houses to the visitors. Using this method, the testimony of the Moon still favours visitors Aston Villa.

This chart has little to say, except that the least favoured or visiting team is going to have a much better game than expected. The Moon in a team’s house is described by Frawley as “a big surge of energy towards the team, almost as if the cosmos is cheering for it”. It seems that, in this game, the heavens themselves will be the 12th man on the pitch, helping the cause of the underdogs.

Astrological Football Forecast for the Premier League: Saturday 28th February 2026 Bournemouth vs Sunderland

Currently placed 8th in the table, to Sunderland’s 12th place, hosts Bournemouth are hotly tipped by the bookies to win this Saturday. But does the contest chart agree?

As favourites, Bournemouth are signified by the 1st house and its ruler. The sign Cancer rises, which is ruled by the Moon. As the Moon already has a role describing the events of the match, her dispositor, the Sun, steps in as substitute. The Sun applies to conjunct the cusp of the 10th house (the house of victory for the favourites): The orb of aspect could be closer (within 2 degrees is ideal) but this is an excellent testimony for Bournemouth, as it shows victory is within their grasp.

Furthermore, retrograde Jupiter (the ruler of the 10th house of victory) is placed in the 1st house and applies to conjunct the 1st house cusp. With strong testimonies in their favour, Bournemouth could be forgiven for thinking that the match is already in the bag.

Are there any corresponding testimonies which argue the case for Sunderland? Not really: Saturn (7th house ruler and main significator for Sunderland) separates from a close conjunction with Neptune. In contest charts, Neptune is unpredictable at best, and often unhelpful, so this testimony is more likely to count against Sunderland than assist their cause.

Mercury, ruler of the 4th house (the house of victory for the underdogs) is under the sunbeams (within 15 degrees of the Sun) and moving closer to combustion due to his retrograde motion. This is another debility for Sunderland.

The Moon applies to oppose Pluto, who is known to have a grudge against the favourites. This testimony is unlikely to be enough to swing the match in Sunderland’s favour, but suggests they may play well enough to stop Bournemouth having everything their own way.

However, the Moon’s next aspect, a trine to the Part of Fortune, again favours the favourites Bournemouth.

The contest chart agrees with the bookies: The odds seem stacked in favour of the favourites.

Astrological Football Forecast for the Premier League: Sunday 22nd February 2026 Spurs vs Arsenal

At the time of writing, Arsenal are placed top of the table, while hosts Spurs are 16th: The pundits favour Arsenal to win easily, but do the heavens agree?

If the pundits are correct, and Arsenal truly are the favourites, they are represented by the Sun (ruler of the 1st house) and Venus, (ruler of the 10th house, the house of victory for the favourites).

Saturn, ruler of the 7th house is the main significator for Spurs. Mars, as ruler of the 4th house (the house of victory for the underdogs) is their co-significator.

The Moon (which often shows how the events of the match will unfold) immediately applies to conjunct the cusp of the 10th house. She then goes in to aspect Venus, ruler of the 10th house, by sextile. This is the final lunar aspect over the 5-degree orb considered most reliable for 90-minute football matches: Both testimonies favour the favourites.

There are two  testimonies which  are helpful to Spurs, but these are not as strong as those favouring Arsenal; Firstly, there is the  placement of Mars, ruler of the 4th cusp (the house of victory for the underdogs) on the 7th house cusp: This suggests that Spurs will play well but is no guarantee of victory.

Secondly, the Part of Fortune (at 29 Aquarius 09) is placed inside the 7th house. Ideally, it would be closer to the house cusp (within 1 or 2 degrees) but, in the absence of any stronger testimonies for Spurs, it is worth considering.

Overall, this chart is inclined towards the favourites who, if the pundits are correct, are Arsenal. Expect their opponents to put in a creditable performance, althpugh it is unlikely to be enough to beat the favourites.

Astrological Football Forecast for the Premier League: Saturday 7th February 2026 Newcastle vs Brentford

The Moon is void of course: She makes no further aspects in her current sign of Libra. This favours the favourites, Newcastle.

Furthermore, the Antiscion of the Part of Fortune (at 24 Leo 09) is conjunct the cusp of the 1st house (the house of the favourites). This also favours Newcastle.

However, Venus (ruler of the 10th house, representing Newcastle’s hopes of victory) is captured just inside the 7th house (the house of Brentford). This suggests that Brentford will do all they can to make things difficult for the favourites, and could restrict the number of goals Newcastle are able to score.

Both Venus (10th house ruler for Newcastle) and Mars (4th house ruler for Brentford) are both afflicted by combustion, (being within 8 degrees of the Sun). However, as the Sun has a key role in this chart as main significator for Newcastle, this is less likely to signify. Nevertheless, both teams are likely to experience this match as an uphill battle, with a corresponding restriction in the number of goals.

Overall, this promises to be a low-scoring game in which favourites Newcastle have a slight edge.

Astrological Football Forecast for the Premier League: Saturday 31st January 2026 Liverpool vs Newcastle

At the time of writing, Liverpool are odds-on favourites to win against Newcastle, but there are only 3 points between them and the chart for Saturday’s match suggests a closer game than expected.

As favourites, Liverpool are signified by Mercury, ruler of the 1st and 10th houses.

Rivals Newcastle have Jupiter, ruler of the 7th and 4th houses, as their representative.

The Moon is at the end of her current sign (Cancer), but is not quite void of course: She is about to trine Saturn at 28 Pisces 37. Even this is not her final aspect, as she next applies to square the Antiscion of the Part of Fortune at 29 Libra 28. This lunar square to the antiscion of the Part of Fortune favours the underdogs, Newcastle.

This is not the only testimony which counts against the favourites: Mercury, Liverpool’s significator, is combust (within 8 degrees of the Sun). Although Mercury is moving away from the Sun, this is still a great debility, which could greatly hinder Liverpool’s chances.

With no balancing testimonies to favour Liverpool, it is likely that Newcastle will have a much better game than the pundits expect.

Astrological Football Forecast for the Premier League: Sunday 25th January 2026 Arsenal vs Manchester United

Arsenal, the odds-on favourites are signified by the Sun (ruler of the 1st house) and Mars (ruler of the 10th house). Opponents Manchester United have Saturn (7th house ruler) and Venus (4th house ruler) as their significators.

The Moon, who describes how the events of the match will unfold, is void of course:  She makes no further aspects in her current sign. This suggests that the status quo will be maintained, and the favourites will win.

However, there are signs that Arsenal will find this match much more difficult than they anticipate. The Sun, their main significator, is captured by opponents Manchester United; located just inside the 7th house.

Pluto, who John Frawley notes in his book “Sports Astrology” often appears to have a grudge against the favourites, applies to oppose the 1st house cusp (and Arsenal), lending his support to rivals Manchester United.

Furthermore, Mars, ruler of the 10th house (the house of success for the favourites), applies to conjunct Pluto: Pluto has it in his power to block Arsenal’s hoped of victory, if he so wishes.

The pundits expect Arsenal to win easily, an opinion with which the void of course Moon concurs. However, Pluto could make things very difficult for the favourites if he decides, which could make for a closer contest than expected.

Astrological Football Forecast for the Premier League: 18th January 2026 Aston Villa vs Everton

Please note: All charts are calculated for U.K. time (currently GMT)

This promises to be an eventful game: The Moon (who describes how the events of the match unfold) has lots to do in this chart.

She first applies to sextile Saturn (lord of the 7th house, representing underdogs Everton).

Next, the Moon opposes the Part of Fortune (another testimony for Everton) before finally applying to conjunct the Sun (ruler of the 1st house, for favourites Aston Villa). This is the final aspect the Moon makes in the sign of Capricorn and, being a conjunction, is doubly powerful. It should be strong enough to award the match to the favourites.

However, Venus (ruler of the 4th house, the house of victory for the underdogs), shows that Everton will play well and do their best to frustrate Villa’s hopes. Although the favourites have the edge in this game, the result promises to be much closer than the pundits expect.
