Women’s World Cup 2023: 20th July 2023 New Zealand vs Norway

Norway are favoured to win the opening match of the tournament, when these two Group A sides meet in Auckland, New Zealand.  

As favourites, Norway are signified by Saturn (lord of the 1st house) and Mars (lord of the 10th house; victory for the favourites). 

Rivals and hosts New Zealand are represented by the Sun (lord of the opposing 7th house) and Venus (lord of the 4th house; victory for the underdogs). 

The most significant aspect here is the applying conjunction from the Moon (which describes the progress of events) to Venus (lord 4); a powerful testimony for New Zealand.  

In his book “Sports Astrology” John Frawley observes that conjunctions from the Moon are usually conclusive in contest charts, suggesting the home crowd will have cause to celebrate.
