For this weekend’s featured Championship fixture, Peterborough (currently 22nd in the table) play host to 12th-placed Sheffield United. The pundits favour Sheffield, but do the heavens agree?

Saturn, for Peterborough, is strong in his own sign of Capricorn, but at over 4 degrees distant from the 7th house cusp, he is too far away to lend his strength to their cause (in contest charts, the effective distance from a house cusp is usually 1-2 degrees).
The Moon’s application to conjunct Venus (Lord of the 10th house) looks more promising for Sheffield, but here too, the Moon has to travel almost 6 degrees to perfect the aspect (5 degrees is usually the limit of effectiveness for a 90 minute football match). However, as a conjunction from the Moon to a main significator often decides the match, it would be unwise to completely ignore this. In a chart lacking any other significant testimonies, this powerful aspect may be enough to award Sheffield the match, with their best opportunities likely to occur in the latter stages of the game, or during extra time.
